I like it a lot. To me, this looks first like a stylized portrait of a human aristocrat, and that aristocrat is evocative of Luna, and I like that approach, and it's executed beautifully to my uncritical eye.
Only criticism: what on earth is up with the handle of her sword? If she's holding it by the handle, what's that thing sticking out, or if she's holding it by something else and that thing is the handle... that's still puzzling. Wait, is it some sort of crescent moon guard? That's kinda cool, but it looks a little bulky, and it's a little hard to see with the way it's angled.

Anyone know the style of uniform that is? (I gathered 'military' of some persuasion, but like what era, etc?) Β I'm working on a character in my writing, and I thought it'd be cool to have them wear a uniform like this. When I finish the writing, I'll post it here on dA. This look is very intimidating and cool.

Taking a look at the uniform, it seems to be a mid to late 19th century style uniform with lineage dating back to high medieval era. Of note, Luna seems to be wearingΒ what appear to be some manner of cavalry boots.Β Β Source: Prior military service.
