In my head canon (and the story I'm making), when a CMC gets her CM (by the time the story is settled, there are not yet colts on the CMC), she becomes a counselor of the CMC. The only known exceptions were the first CMC, no related to other CMC, as they just closed their group and abandoned their clubhouse, and the second CMC, means Scootaloo-Sweetie Belle-Apple Bloom, who became the Cutie Mark Adventurers, as Ponyville had no other CMCs except them.

Or perhaps a "Senior Member" or some similar high rank? That way, they can still help their fellow sisters, friends, confidantes, allies, bosom buddies, gal pals, compadres, chums, homegirls, amigos, blah blah blah blah blah, etc. find their cutie marks.

I have a feeling that, in the future, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are going to be an enormous branching organization all over Equestria that helps little fillies and colts try to fiind their cutie marks. Anyone else feel the same way?

SPOILERS: I'm working on a story that deals on that. In fact, in the story, the CMC are not the first CMC. They "created" the name, not knowing there was a group of fillies who had done that before, using that name and even in the same city. Also, that story deals with "grown up" version of the CMC... CUTIE MARK ADVENTURERS YAY!!
