I think that throughout the series, Hasbro plans to have each of the Mane 6 snap at the very LEAST once, (unfortunatley, those are twisted into disturbing fanfics) like how Pinkie Pie went crazy and she got turned into: by a fan, and when Twilight snapped under the pressure of the friendship letter and got turned into by a fan. They are our little mentally ill ponies XD

Friendship is so nice an magical. Not so much when you and your friend get stuck in a chateau and your friend snaps. Gets weird real fast when you learn just how addicted they are to their favorite show and can't get their fix. >.>
