Description
If I could have a 6 button XBOX 360 control pad, (besides the Mad Catz S.F. 4 one,) this is probably something along the lines of how it would look. Iβd get rid of that irritating guide button, and move the start button down the bottom out of the way from being accidentally bumped. Maybe the angle of the buttons could be a little less steep perhaps, but all in all, I think this would be pretty suitable. And it would be great for V.F. 5 and other fighting games.(Edited with Corel PHOTO-PAINT.)

The lack of the R-stick ruins what is a beautiful concept because, i ain't gonna lie, it looks sick!

Thanks! I hear you about the analogue stick, but for me this would serve no purpose in a fighting game. If I needed it for another game, Iβd unplug it and put the regular controller back in.

As youβd only use my design for fighting games, I didnβt see it as being necessary. The Mad Catz pad I have has nothing but the digital d-pad.

I don't see, I never played a fighting game, why would camera control be not necessary???????? And how will you go to Xbox 360 dashboard?

Well, Iβve never seen a camera control in a fighting game from what I can recall, because your fingers would be too busy pressing the other buttons. The cameras are pretty much always placed for you. And in 2D games, like Street Fighter, itβs always the one perspective. I think moving it would conflict with the move directions youβre performing anyhow. Like if you had to press forward, forward, kick, the camera suddenly changing would alter the directions.
As for the dashboard, I think accessing that in the game is a bad idea anyhow. Thatβs why I pulled that button from my real controller, because it got in the way.

This means that you can never quit the game?

Youβd just open the drive to door to quit. I was never aware of any other way to quit a game on that console anyhow.

And is "fighting games" secretly a synonym for "N64 games"? I mean, N64 has 6 face buttons, and no C stick because 4 buttons are C. And it had no dashboard, so you turned off the console to stop playing. Why not remove right trigger and back button too?

Also, it looks somewhat weird with the Back and Start buttons assymetrical, given their text curves.

They are still sold on the Amazon - but according to reviews, their quality is just as terrible as the price

Is it me or does the layout out the buttons remind me of the old classic Sega Genesis Controller?

Yeah, that was kinda the idea to have it look like the Mega Drive / Saturn pads.
