Shelf clouds over Mentor, Ohio? Yes, indeed shelf clouds over Mentor, Ohio. This storm rolled in last night. Kirtland police watched as we stood in the middle of a field taking photos of the approaching storm. Ended up watching it roll right over and getting rained on quite a bit. The resulting photos, however are something that I will not be able to see again in this area probably any time soon. Such amazing clouds, and thankfully my 10 percent that was left in the battery lasted throughout so I could get these shots.
