Description
This is what I think prevents most people from getting straight, flat-top, parallel engines. I've said the Endeavor as a ship or a model is counter-intuitive. Instead of starting at the pods I discovered starting with the Engine Pylons and where they meet the curvature of the Main Hull may be the answer. Once you have the Engine Pylons set you measure out to the length where the Engine Pods would meet and connect. In my case I didn't construct the whole pylon and pod. I just cut out the Outboard Side Wall to match it to the shape of the rectangular Pod Wall. Once I thought it was set I traced the shape to another piece of cardboard. I want the whole thing to be 1 clean piece. There are no separation lines between the Pylon and Pod in the art and I want that same feature in the model. Also the Outboard Side Wall seems a bit thin. I was using the same measurement as the decks where people would walk. The size can be beefed up a little if it looks too thin.
