This is the colored version of the Optimus Pax drawing I did a few weeks back. Kept a color scheme that's very similar to G1 Prime, but for the sake of unity, made a few minor changes.Related content

Hmm... I'm interested. It reminds me of the episode in Transformers: Prime where Optimus had lost his Prime memories and reverted to his pre-prime state. If Hasbro really decided to keep the voice at that moment, they should have also decided to include the shape-shifting factor. That would be a logical and visible sign. At that scenario, this would be in my head.

I'm interested in this Optimus' backstory. Judging from the name and the small stature, he's yet to receive the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Is it set in an AU in which Sentinel Prime survived whatever killed him in G1, and led the Autobots to Earth?

heh. i've been meaning to comment on this design for awhile. i like the thought of a "retirement prime" ... very well thought out design too.

I agree completely. Very well thought out design. Has a lot of interesting elements from various TF strata. An RiD like head, Energon like mounted weapon, Alternator ish body.

This looks really nice. For some reason, he really gives a RiD Optimus Prime vibe, with his head, chest, and shoulders even.
This whole design could easilly be an Alternator. A New version of Ironhide springs to mind.

You know, I just noticed the embedded weapons in his hips and door-shoulders. Very nice touches.
I'm reminded a bit of Energon Ironhide, but that's mostly due to the position of the doors in robot mode.
