Nativity Fish, 2014

oil on canvas diptych, 24" x 30"

I started with the bottom half as an overpainting over this bizarre new age crystal goddess, that turned into 3 cool fish. I then realized I had another canvas and started another fish, but halfway thru this new fish I realized they were same width so I matched up the background texture to allow the smaller piece to be tiling on top or bottom of the second piece, they are aligned how I think they look best.
