While photographs of hummingbirds are not original, this is certainly one of the best I have seen. Your technique here is almost impeccable. The background is properly blurred out letting the viewer focus only on the bird.

The image is very nicely focused, allowing the viewer to see all the tiny feathers, and the light coming through the translucent wings is beautiful.

With the bird taking up the majority of the frame, it provides a good impact. I feel like the impact in this image could have been improved slightly if it had been focused more heavily on the wings of the bird as opposed to the entire body of the bird, because with the title you've given the image and the majesty of those translucent wings, that should be the main focus within the frame.

Thank you so much for the kind words. It took a lot of patience and a large number of bad shots before I got this one. Thanks again.

Taking a photograph of a hummingbird is a very difficult thing to do since they move really fast. But this photo is so clear you can see every last detail of the bird. For this I must congradulate you. This photo is amazing and beautiful down to the last inch. The blue tint makes the photo look sad unlike most photos you see of hummingbirds; which always seem to be happy from all the bright colours making it have an original flar to this already specatular photo. The bird is in midflight but it's taken so fast that it seems as if the hummingbird is floating in midair.

Thank you very much for your wonderful critique. The reason for the blue tint is that the feeder hangs underneath the leaves of a small tree. So although it was very bright this day, the bird was in deep shade. As for the speed of the bird - I missed a large number of shots before I got this one - it takes a lot of patience. Thanks again.
