"Chaps, chaps... listen up!" Emily-Jane says in urgent but whispered tones to her friends as she rushes towards them. "I found him! I bloody well found him! Oh my god! He's... he's just... oh, he's the ultimate thing to die for!"

Charlotte glances at Penelope with a critical eye. Neither of them have seen Emily-Jane get so worked up over a boy before so they have both concluded that either some new level of puberty has kicked in for her or this boy she has seen is utterly extraordinary.

"What are you waiting for? Go get'im, you tiger!" Charlotte laughs, only partially joking but as soon as she has said it she realizes that, with the state of mind Emily-Jane is apparently in, her friend might dash off this instant and throw herself wantonly at the poor unsuspecting boy.

"Yah, I will, I will!" Emily-Jane concurs. "But I can't not share with you guys the most amazing sight you will ever see in your life ever!" She points to her left, towards a small set of steps trailing through the foliage which, as Penelope and Charlotte know from previous visits to Splashy's, leads to a hot-tub. "Up there..." She grins at the other two and then turns and, to Penelope and Charlotte's amusement, begins tiptoeing in a very theatrical manner towards the steps. She reaches the bottom of the steps and beckons the others to come closer.

"Careful, girls," she whispers as Penelope and Charlotte approach. "Stay quiet, we don't want to scare him away."

Slowly, the three girls creep closer, taking care that their advance is not too loud to startle their quarry.
