Hey guys!Ok, so this was a commission for a fan of Borderlands 2 and it required about as much masking as any Nerf I've ever done. It has 3 layers of custom cut camo shapes as well as the rest of the areas that had to be isolated for painting black. I'm very happy with how it came out and so I wanted to share it with you just in case there's a few fans of B2 on here (ok, I know there's at least a few of ya!)

It really is close. Remember, the gun in game can spawn with different scopes, so it will match yours even further.

damn that's awesome. i want one.... I was also thinking about painting my retaliator like a seraphim but ive never done anything like that, so it seems a bit daunting

You should always give it a try if it's in your budget. Β I know the cost of materials can start to mount up quickly, but just pick colors you know you'll use again and it's not so bad. Β I wish you luck and let me know how it goes for ya!

Sorry, no there isn't. Β I basically went by screen captures and it was quite a bit of work with all the masking and keeping things as clean as possible. Β

How did you make the stock for it? I'm interested in doing something Borderlands-ish for upcomign conventions, and would love any tips you can offer

I actually just took the stock from a Nerf Retaliator to use with this setup. Β It would require you buying another nerf set or you might be able to find it cheaper on ebay or similar
