How did you make the mirror lens? I'm making a costume, and I have a dome lens that I need to turn translucent. I want to see out but I don't want them to be able to see in. Any idea of products I could use?

The best thing to do is buy a motorcycle helmet visor and then cut it (carefully!) to fit the helmet.

Can u make me a helmet

JohnsonArmsProps In reply to Carter02 [2014-01-25 09:25:12 +0000 UTC]
We definitely can! Most of the helmets I've done were by friends who specialize in making them and I enjoy doing the painting and finishing part. I will warn ya that making a helmet from scratch it rather expensive, but if it's one that's already been made into a mold would be a lot more affordable. Thanks!

What kind of a material did you use for the visor?

JohnsonArmsProps In reply to mangoonfire [2013-08-13 06:47:59 +0000 UTC]
Thats a motorcycle visor that was cut to fit. It's not the easiest thing in the world to install, but much easier than trying to chrome tint your own plastic

Dude Brian! That's awesome! Did you make this from scratch or use a helmet to mold around?

Did you make this as a resin version yourself? Is it wearable?
π: 0 β©: 1
JohnsonArmsProps In reply to gazongola [2012-11-04 19:32:19 +0000 UTC]
It's made by my buddy, Antonio Pagan, I just paint them as best I can It is fully wearable, just needs the padding added inside the helmet to match your head size

Beautiful may i say "SIR!" how much did it cost to make and how long? must have been a long project
π: 0 β©: 1
JohnsonArmsProps In reply to Elliottsykes14 [2012-11-01 03:30:53 +0000 UTC]
The cost was mostly my time and the time to make this was about a month. The subsequent copies won't take nearly as long, but it's still a few weeks to have one ready for shipping Glad you like it!

π: 0 β©: 1
JohnsonArmsProps In reply to Erbear159 [2012-10-31 16:58:38 +0000 UTC]
Super easy! It's a high quality motorcycle helmet visor so no distortion, just a bit of tint like wearing shades
