Description
A try out on recording how I do speed paintings, my first and it was pretty much a failure, the software messed up the editing messed up, well the painting was pretty messed up as well.I'm going to do another recording using camtasia studio tonight, so stay tuned.

It was about 1 hour and 40 mins in realtime.
Textures used: A rock texture, a photo of a cliff, a volkswagen engine, a beetle and a gas mask.
Photoshop cs 5.

Love the blurriness, it adds to the atmosphere and the wind blowing all those particles around!
That or it adds to the steam effect. Or both!

I have to disagree with you there on both counts, firstly this recording is awesome - nice to see how your process unfolds, and secondly because this picture is awesome too XD don't be so hard on yourself

the contrast between the warm and cool colours is pretty cool ( oh, snap), an even though I doubt there'd be wind on a atmosphere-less rock (if that's what it is), the atmosphering effects really make the place look pretty hostile.
Pretty cool narrative touch making the lava streams (again, if that's what it is), go up in straight streaks of light/fire/something- really good storytelling.
a great speedie all in all.
