Description
First: this has nothing to do with Tales of Symphonia, so don't mention it.Second: She is a gurl. I generally try to make it a habit to never expose the stomach of a male character if his chest is covered.
Alright, so the subject of this picture is a girl named Sonya Treble. She travels about the world by transmitting herself along telephone lines, collecting/pirating music across time and space in an effort to create a symphony that can dance her BACK TO THE MOON.
I have a headache and need to go lie down for a while.
Anyhow, I had fun with this one - there were like 8 scrapped poses that all looked pretty cool but failed to capture her spunk. Good fun practice, though. Originally she was going to hold a giant phone in her hand and a dog named Cell, but I felt it would weigh her down too much and decided that at most she'd have an antenna in her cap and headphones that were hooked up to her pants.

EDIT: She's so muscular because she dances so much, and her face is so boyish because I suck at drawing.

I do like that she isn't as fragile looking as most anime girls. What, can't a girl have some muscles? It's not all about looking like an hourglass, strong girls have much better chances at actually dancing to the moon and back.

well in anime in basic, they always have:
two guys that fight alot (usually main character and second main character)
a very thick headed, violent, head first guy (usually the main character)
a girl always shy over a guy
a guy always shy over a girl
a girl that shouts alot and is short tempered
a girl that is very strong
a guy that is elegant and evil
a guy that is kinda nerdy and reads alot of books
a girl that is very moe and cute and fragile
a girl that acts very cute but is deciving.
that basically sums up what most all the main characters personalities are from most animes in my opinion

maybe taking her cap out could work to meke her look a little bit more female...also some other hairstyle, cause long pony tails also works with men (like some old guys in japan)
and i hate to mention it but draw the nipples works reeaaaly good, i know its kinda perv, but many teenagers are that way...haha

it makes sense why she is so muscular because my sister is a dancer and she has the same shape! i think its fine, also i love her boyish features but i could definitely tell it was a girl, love the tattoo on her side. she reminds me somewhat of my little sister who dresses the same way~ (well except the shirt, my parents would freak!)
