The theme for the Week 2 tryout was: "Team-up two comic book characters that have never teamed-up before."This time around, the Twitter suggestion that caught my fancy was the Ghostbusters and Deadman! When you instantly get a picture in your head of what the interaction looks like, that's when you know you've got a great idea!
My general inspiration for the layout was Jim Aparo's great cover for Adventure Comics #464 (Seen here: [link] ), but I was referencing the art of the great Neal Adams and José Luis García-López to get the definitive look for Boston Brand. The Ghostbusters came from movie stills and my own imagination.

Well, it seemed the obvious way to go. Let's split the difference and say that in the great tradition of comic book teamups, they overcame their initial differences & joined forces to defeat a common foe.

Agreed, since that sound feasible. Like...oh! A deity looking to grab the title of the Destroyer after the destruction of Gozer and his/her greatest worshiper in the Ghostbusters video game good ol Ivo Shandor. Deadman was sent to deal with the cult that worshiped said deity but was stopped by the Ghostbusters who eventually saw that he was a good ghost, teamed up, and whooped ass.
