Description This is Little Pip from an incredibly long and complex fan fiction called Fallout: Equestria. If you haven’t guessed, it’s a crossover between the Fallout video game franchise, and My Little Pony. I did her in the style of my other flower ponies, but because she lives in a post-apocalyptic, blasted wasteland, it’s not as pretty as the others. The “flower” that is this piece’s theme is Killing Joke– an extremely deadly mutation of Poison Joke.

I'm surprised I haven't commented yet.  Weird, considering how cool this picture is.

Better late then never.

*ahem*

GAAAH SO CUUUUTE LITTLEPIPBESTPONY5EVER!

But in all seriousness, this picture is splendiferous.  The shading and highlights work, you've got the gritty feel of Fallout Equestria down-pat, your choice of 'flower' is very appropriate, and the details, my god, the details!

Oooh this is beautiful. Your style is beautifully cartoony and yet maintains visual depth. AND YOU GOT THE PIPBUCK RIGHT. I swear to god, nobody ever actually draws them like they actually look. Bravo.

Why thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. And thanks! I didn't even know that I got the Pipbuck "right" I just looked hard at how the Pipboys look, and altered it slightly so that it would make more sense for a pony to wear. I'm glad you appreciate it!

I guess it wouldn't be fun if there wasn't some interpretation involved, but a lot of fan art doesn't even vaguely resemble them, so nice to see someone got it right. And she is so cute! I wish I could draw faces like that.

The Killing Joke.

Poison Joke have nothing on its mutated cousin. If its transfiguration effect was not critical to that brew...

Hm... do we have a FoE equal to Hearts Desire?

The herb was already dangerus before the war. What unholy powers can it have gaind.

This is material for someone.

KingArthur5 In reply to Kim-Fareseed [2013-07-04 22:52:12 +0000 UTC]

I think that it should act like an evil genie, granting people's desires with not-so-favorable twists. I think cutie pox would be the same, but with raider's marks (eye gored on a spike, splayed ribs, etc.) and the filly/colt would be forced to maim themselves like all the marks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kim-Fareseed In reply to KingArthur5 [2013-07-05 20:24:15 +0000 UTC]

The source of the cutie pox is unknown. And we don't know if it is still around. Who knows what cutie marks could appear by it.

And the genie idea is not that bad. But I need to get my head how the herb transformed that way. But it really is interesting.

KingArthur5 In reply to Kim-Fareseed [2013-07-06 07:45:17 +0000 UTC]

Easy, it's been mutated and poisened by radiation and taint from the bombs. You could also say something like it sensed the worst coming out of ponies since the war started and became warped by the general negative feelings of the ponies/zebras who inhabited the land.
As for the cutie pox, we know one way it can come up is if a filly/colt desires their cutie mark and eats it, as Applebloom did. Then again, Heart's Desire must have always been like an evil genie plant, because it messed with Applebloom's desire. Oh well, maybe in the Wasteland, Heart's Desire can be evil to a lethal point.

Kim-Fareseed In reply to KingArthur5 [2013-07-06 17:34:18 +0000 UTC]

Yes. You must be carefull with a wish. You never know how it will play out.

The explanation with the negative emoteons sounds good in my ears, radiation and taint is well used. But I don't remember where you could find the plant. If the Everfree is one of the places then it will most likely not be the most radiaded plant, and it will depend on when a story that uses it is in time... Am I getting off topic?.

KingArthur5 In reply to Kim-Fareseed [2013-07-06 19:45:23 +0000 UTC]

But radiation still changed poison joke into killing joke, and that was located in the everfree forest too.

KingArthur5 In reply to Kim-Fareseed [2013-07-06 22:14:23 +0000 UTC]

Any other way do you think that Heart's Desire could have been changed by the radiation? How about another creature (non-sentient) that is canon but not mentioned yet?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kim-Fareseed In reply to KingArthur5 [2013-07-06 22:23:15 +0000 UTC]

I don't have anything in mind for Heart's Desire.

But for creatures... actually no. Timberwolves was an idea but they could just pick up whatever tree they want...

NOTknownlight In reply to TrojanHorse818 [2013-05-11 22:31:31 +0000 UTC]

Maybe. The police barding was described as an armoured blue suit too, though, so it's hard to be certain.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TrojanHorse818 In reply to NOTknownlight [2013-05-12 02:31:07 +0000 UTC]

yea but what makes me think that its the stable barding is that it looks separate from the clothes, to an extent or that it was added on, and the armor covers less of the body.
that's just my take
