Description Radka, a lovely Czech woman who does not have to rely on a lot of makeup to enhance her natural beauty.  Prismacolor colored pencils on Bristol, smooth.  The photographer who took this photo is also a Czech lady, Jana Handlova.  Here is a link to the photograph I used for a reference.  Link: Radka Kleinerova, 2    The same photograph was used for my graphite drawing.

Thanks Kathleen.  I am fine dear.  How are you, your hubby, and that energetic pup doing?  I have thought of you many, many times.  Just haven't been very active drawing lately, so haven't been on this website.  Actually, until I submitted the colored pencil portrait of Radka (above) I had not drawn anything since back in April of this year when I did the colored pencil portrait of Eleanor Tomlinson as Demelza from the BBC's 2015 first season of POLDARK.  Today I submitted another drawing of Radka.  (Finished this morning).  It is in my DA gallery now. This one was drawn with graphite pencils.  They are more forgiving than colored pencils.  I had hoped to get a better likeness of her this time, and I believe I did.

Hi Joyce!  I just commented on your drawing. It is very good, as always.  As you can see, I haven't been on here much either.  Not drawing anything lately with my puppy keeping me so busy.  Did I tell you she is part goat?! She tries to eat everything off the floor and the ground.  We had to take her to surgery when she was 5 months old because she had eaten wire, swallowed part of a Nylabone and a bunch of mulch. We have to watch her like a hawk. Just like a little kid. When she gets quiet, we know something is up.  Have a great Christmas!

Hi, Kathleen!  The news about those bad items your puppy has consumed is new to me. I hope she outgrows that habit.  I did know that Jack Russells are very active, however.  Yes, we did have a great Christmas with two of our daughters in S.C.  I apologize for not replying to your comment before now.  Since we returned home from SC on Wednesday, 6 January, I have run into several brick walls....most of them computer related.  One of those problems I brought on myself when I upgraded my HP computer from MS7 to MS10.  The new setup (opening, etc.) is entirely different from what I have become used to, so I have been trying to learn new ways to reach various apps I frequently use.  Another problem I recently encountered was that my HP printer would no longer print any files that are on my computer.  Unknowingly, I must have clicked upon a setting which changed a vital component and it caused that problem. I think I have solved the problem this morning as I am now able to print computer items with my printer.  Before, when my computer and my printer were giving me so many problems, I got so frustrated, I gave up trying to solve the problems.  My chosen temporary escape was to spend more time on my iPad and to read library books.  Also several stories in our Reader's Digest Condensed Books.

Hi Joyce!  Good to hear from you.  I haven't been on DA much as you probably noticed.  I know I get frustrated with computers.  I wish I knew more about how to fix problems.  Maybe I can take a class when I retire.  I would like to be a little more tech savvy.  Glad you had a nice Christmas visit with your family.  It is a nice time of year.

My Sophie is always going to like to chew I'm afraid.  I have to constantly be aware of what's in her mouth or what might drop on the floor.  Love the little girl though.  So happy to have her.

I have a Nook and I needed a new charger.  It's an old one and is getting a little slow compared to my Samsung phone. Might look into getting an iPad.  I love to read on something I can make the print larger.  Next time you swing through let me know I would love to meet you.  It snowed to day.  Love to see it but don't like to drive in it.  Hope you have a great February!!! Love, Kathleen
