For me it's as if her skin forms the cosmos, itself. she contains the universe, the master of an otherwise unbridled energy, shaped and tamed to her will.

Yeah - that is where I got the idea of black betty from - the skin being dark - but you're right - it could be space and stars, the swirling cosmos.Β Kinda cool. But why is she wearing Victorian clothes?Β The plot thickens!
