Unusually dynamic, full of textural depth, great stuff.

I don't mind, go for it. I'm not doing much of a good job of being on hiatus am I? Oh well, I have pulled back a bit. I have many textures to process still, so I think that is going to be my focus for now - getting those out.

Yay, great!
Haha, no But whatever feels right to do is good for you. Sometimes it helps to just take the pressure off by declaring inactivity. I've experienced that a couple times myself

Yes - I'll admit I've been letting this place interfere with my work, sleep. It gets kinda immersive and addictive, which isn't good.

If it rose to that state, it's not got at all. I mean, I spend a LOT of time on this site, luckily the fact that I've been around here since 2004 (with another account which is long gone), I kinda got used to it very slowly, so it never really developed an addictive attraction to me I think. Don't get me wrong, I love being online here, discovering art and people, but it's never been unhealthy.
So I get why you feel the need to pull back... if it compromises your life, it's probably the best choice to bring a little distance between real life and this community :/

I've been here since then too, but spent years at a time not really even looking at the place. Or, very seldom in any case. It's just my personality I think, a tendency to get hooked on one thing and go deep with it and then end up exhausting myself on it entirely and abandoning it. Don't want to do that here, so just trying to moderate.

Yep, I hope so too. Honestly, when I first moved up here 6 years ago all I wanted to do was create, and I really procrastinated on it. It's been great to have such a long creative burst, and to keep finding new avenues for artistic outlet. Art makes me happy, creating makes me happy.

Me, too! Like nothing else does. It's like a passion that's different from anything else, independent from anything else.

Yep, makes you feel alive, doing something more than just - I dunno - following orders or something.
