This is stunning and the most vivid thing it brings to mind is the Pink Floyd lyric, 'We're just two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl, year after year'.
To me it has a sense of motion while standing still. Completion while not being complete... Lol rambling, but I love your work.

This is absolutely beautiful!! Considering this is your art, I need to ask: How would you feel about someone getting something of yours tattooed? I know some people are uncomfortable with that while others are flattered. Or what about creating a design including a signature that would be placed on the tattoo as well?

Where did you find those symbols? When I looked up beginning and end in chinese AND japanese(I thought they looked more japanese than chinese), they were both multiple characters...

Not sure if you're still interested, but 头 in Chinese is part of 开头, which means beginning, but by itself it carries the meaning of ' the head, the first’ to indicate the start of something. 束 is taken from 结束 'end'. 束 means literally to 'bind', 'bundle up' in its most original meaning in Classical Chinese
The reason they looked Japanese to you perhaps is because it is the simplified version of Chinese characters (Japanese Kanji are, as you probably know, taken from traditional Chinese characters, but the Japanese don't use the simplified versions). The traditional versions would be 頭 (头) and the other one is written the same in both versions: 束.
