This reminds me of Gaston's death in Beauty and the Beast - Disney's version. As he's falling, there are little skulls in his pupils. This is infinitely more beautiful, though. Those colors are amazing.

What kind of colours did you use? Coloured ink which is compatible with water? I often use "normal" ink but I always wanted to try it out with water! Please answer!

its a gorgous painting and loved the video. really showed the work that went into creating this peice. i wish there was a slower close up video of doing the center (the iris i think?) cause we really cant see what your doing there, but it shows the rest quite well as it is larger scale. i think more videos is a great idea

Did you use a reference? My friends can do a pretty good job at drawing eyes, but nothing like this, but they always use a reference. I was just wondering ^^
