When Wax was younger, before team Rocket, he was brought up and was strongly dependant on a small mob of Meowths, lead by Grit, a Persian.When Wax was introduced to life outside the mob (Team Rocket) Grit made it clear that Wax was not welcome back.. Ironically, after a 3 year span, Grit found his way into Wax's new life as a co-partner. But he quickly surpassed Wax and became his boss. Wax does exactly what he's told so he can avoid another clash with his powerful superior.
That's how Wax got his tail wrap.

oh yeah, lol I'll admit.. I got some of the inspiration from that episode, BUT thats only because I'm lazy and I needed to come up with a reason for it to be a Persian and I needed to introduce Grit
