Alexander Luthor was brought up in 'Suicide Slum', one of the worst parts of Metropolis. His parents abused him and he was violently bullied at school. Lex was an academic, and wasn't one for physical activities, so fighting back wasn't exactly his best option. He finished University at 17, and by 19 he was a Professor in quantum physics and had a masters in mechanics.

To pay for all of this, Lex set up a plan to kill his parents and get any money they were sitting on. He hired an assassin to kill them, and it succeeded. What Lex didn't know is how much his parents' life insurance was and how much he got from the will. Adding it all up, he gained over $150 million.

After paying off his debts for College and University, there was still enough money for Lex to start up his own business, 'LexCorp'. It was only small at first, selling small but ingenious new advancements in technology to the bigger companies. A contract was made between LexCorp and Wayne Enterprises, and with the money there, LexCorp started growing. It soon had enough to go alone and Lex Luthor became a popular name around the world and the richest man in Metropolis, the third richest man in the world.

His arm was cut off when he was taken hostage at 23, the money was taken out of his account, losing $10 million but it was soon regained with LexCorp selling bionic-limbs to the wider population. These were used on Luthor himself.

He'd hated Superman ever since the menace first showed his face in Metropolis. But being the mortal he is, there was no chance him truly winning in a fight between the two. So he created a battle armour with the excuse of it as a beta test for military use. The real reason behind it, to kill Superman. With a Kryptonite rock as the power source, it was supposedly a great threat against him. Luthor would soon see...
