The show itself is aiight (not the best, but aiight), but the fandom makes me wanna tear my fuckin hair out, especially the ones who get pissy at the Gems being drawn differently from canon or the ones who act like it's the best thing ever because of the characters' genders and sexualities. Look, I get that diversity's important, but holy mother of Christ, that's not what Steven Universe should be about nor is it the only thing that defines it.

One of the things that lets it down for me is the dialogue. I'm not claiming to be an expert on writing (though I am a writer, but in no way a perfect one) , but whenever I watch it I feel the show lays it on too heavy with some of the dialogue, like certain parts of the dialogue aren't needed or they should have gone over that line again and rewritten it, or something.
Not a hate comment, I have nothing against Steven Universe (except the dialogue), it's just not done anything to draw me into it as of yet.

well I have multiple reasons They always bring back ruby and saphhire for the GAY SPACE ROCKS UWU fans, They also made Lapis emo for a few episodes, Made peri more of a SMOL GREEN AWKAKRD BABY XD, Due to that they may reform other villains into tumblr service.

Peridot has always been a fan favorite and they pretty much over used her, same with ruby and sapphire, they birng them back at such unnecessary times. And im not saying lapis hasnt been threw things, but its realy unlike her character to be like this

I have seen Say Uncle and in context it was more of a bait and switch joke, in the sense of "You were expecting Rose, but it was me Uncle Grandpa!" Steven was not disgusted or mocking UG,he was rather amazed, however, OUTSIDE OF CONTEXT...
