Description

In this alternate reality, the Frieza Force fails once more at gathering the Dragon Balls and resurrect Frieza, but then something unexpected happened, ''Lord Cooler'' had returned. Unbeknownst to most of the galaxy, King Cold had a son before Frieza, Cooler, but he was less ruthless than his father and liked to train. King Cold considered him a disappointment and decided to have another son, Frieza, removing Cooler's title as future emperor and demoting him to rule the outer regions of the empire. However, Cooler was actually fine with that and became the undisputed ruler of his sector, creating his ''Armored Squadron'' and leading the ''Cooler Corps''. For protocol reasons, he would report back to his father and be mocked by his brother, then he witnessed the destruction of Planet Vegeta and expressed that he would had liked to have saiyans work in his sector. Like in the fifth movie, Cooler and his men saw Kakarot heading to Earth, but decided it not to destroy it as it wasn't his business and hoped this came back to ruin Frieza. After that day, Cooler retired to the most distant regions of the universe and began a hellish training to one day kill his brother and father, not to take over the empire, but just to remove them from his life. Decades later, Cooler returns to the Frieza Force and learns that Frieza was defeated on Namek by the legendary Super Saiyan and later killed along with Cold by the same individual on Earth. With Goku and Vegeta training on Beerus' planet with Whis, the Earth's warriors will have to face against Frieza's brother.

Like in the movie, the Z Fighters (Now also including 18) easily deal with the invading army, until the Armored Squadron appears and when realizing their vast power difference, make use of their trump card. During their time in the outer regions, the Cooler Corps' scientists developed a drug-like chemical that greatly enhances one's power level for about 30 minutes, but at the cost of becoming more feral and severely reducing their lifespan. Thanks to this drug, the Armored Squadron manage to match the Z Fighters' power and eventually force Gohan to turn Super Saiyan (Knocking out Sauza back to the ship), while Piccolo, Krillin and 18 eliminate the others with a combo attack. With his men defeated, Cooler finally enters the battle and quickly showcases his terrifying power, as Gohan transforms into a Super Saiyan 2 and manages to match the villain's power, but only for a while. As the battle continues, Cooler's decades-long combat experience manages to overpower Gohan and nearly kills him, but Piccolo steps in the way, almost dying for his student again, but Krillin saves him with a Senzu Bean.

When Cooler was about to destroy the planet out of frustration, Goku and Vegeta finally appear, leading to a chain of events similar to the original movie. Goku is the first to fight and reveals his new form, ''Super Saiyan Blue'', as Cooler then reveals the result of his hellish training and transforms into his ''Super Evolution''. At first, Cooler overpowers Goku and seemingly has the victory secured, but Goku slowly gets the upperhand until switching their roles and dominates his opponent. Feeling humiliated for his situation, Cooler uses his secret plan and orders Sauza to eliminate Goku's friends with the ships' cannons, which Goku prevents with his speed. However, Cooler took advantage of that moment and pierced Goku's chest with a death beam, asking the saiyan to forgive him for using that tactic and how there's still some ''traces'' of his family in him that lead to this conclusion.

Like in the movie, Vegeta steps in and brutally beats down Cooler as a Super Saiyan Blue himself, who in the end accepts his defeat, telling Vegeta that he'll punch Frieza in Hell for him. However, when Vegeta was about to kill him, Beerus interferes and prevents that, having grown interested on the Frost Demon's potential, as well not being as annoying as his little brother. As Vegeta gets angry Beerus, the god easily knocks him to the ground (Returning him to base form), telling him to remember that he's still no match against the God of Destruction and thus give a reason to Vegeta training to surpass Beerus like it does in the manga. Meanwhile, Cooler escapes with Sauza (His last remaining soldier) and swears to one day get his rematch against the saiyans.
