My entry for the 1rst challenge on CenterStage <3

Brief
1. Design 2 outfits for the Musical Cinderella
2. Your first design will be for the character of Cinderella
3. For the second design choose a character: The Fairy Godmother, The evil stepmother or Prince Charming
4. Got to the gallery of the designer that has been assigned to you and pick one of their designs as your inspiration:
-You will adopt the color scheme for your designs.
-There has to be elements of the original in your design (be it style, a pattern, a collar, a shape)

my inspiration piece was :

i have to say that i was actually "finished" quite soner with my entry , or so i thought.. because at first i missread the brief and choosed 2 pictures for 2 designs so when i finally realized that we had to do 2 dresses to 1 inspiration i had to re-draw the Cinderella design totally:/
that´s why it might look different and even a bit more lovelessly done? but oh well

Cinderella

well since i had to re-do the whole concept once again after the design of the stepmother i thought why not give cinderella a whole new twist?? with the question:
what if there wasn´t a happy ending? or something would go wrong? so this is what i did i changed her into a darker figure
with a ripped - and dirty ballgown and broken glass slippers that could resemble cinderellas broken dreams as well-
i took the colours from the dress in the left top cornor just like the ripped look
the farbics are dirty coloured silk and silver glittering black chiffon

the stepmother

i mostly took the ispiration from her neck piece from the sleeve of the top left design, just like this time again the skirt of the dress from the skirt of the design itsself - however the colours are taken from the design as well
and now that i see the stepmothers design beneath cinderella´s i think thta the stepmother in her dress looks
almost "triumphant" , don´t you think? and i actually like that

so i hope you like what i did allthought lately my watercolour colouration sucks ass x_x
