Description Something from the archives. I think this was the last comic I drew on paper, probably around 2008. After that, I'd switched over to producing things 100% digitally.
This comic first appeared in Wil Overton's anthology book, Smart Bomb.
I still rather like the idea of anthology books. Maybe I'll cobble together my own, one day. A bunch of short, sci fi/fantasy/horror stories could be fun to write.

Hmm... The ''UFO'' was in fact the house, and the ''human''- the alien. Interesting idea.

I think that a lot of people here missed the fact that the diner owner was knocked out and left on the couch of the space ship and has been whisked away to parts unknown?

BrandonStorm In reply to MyCatspet [2019-04-19 00:32:22 +0000 UTC]

I think it's more along the lines of the lady they knocked out was suppose to be a alien who stole the UFO from the diner as a cover for her crashed ship.

The lady clearly was not meant to be a diner owner in their conversation, she never mentioned it at all.

Well she asked if they were from the sheriffs office and she had called two hours before the agents arrived which points to her being the owner of the diner along with her husband who was away!

TimelordFandango In reply to MyCatspet [2019-04-19 13:43:36 +0000 UTC]

Actually, she claimed to have called the sheriff two hours ago, but according to the agent the only call the sheriff got was made 30-minuets ago.

This would imply that the woman's call wasn't real and the restaurant owner only called when he got there and saw that his place was gone.

BrandonStorm In reply to MyCatspet [2019-04-19 13:40:07 +0000 UTC]

The Ladies call to the sheriff's office was 2 hours ago, claiming that a soviet spy plane landed on her house.

One short ride back to the base and they receive a call confirming that the only call the sheriff received as half an hour ago about the missing diner sign.

The house was the UFO and therefore the lady was it's driver.

A question to be asked for another time, the fact that she crashed into the planet shouldn't help her case I think.

I get the alien space-house, but how did the diner thingy really get there? A cover-up to trick the cover-up crew? Clever but very, very confusing ?_?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

XANA520 In reply to KhaoShar [2019-04-17 11:15:22 +0000 UTC]

I think the diner was originally what was there and the house landed on *it*.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

KhaoShar In reply to XANA520 [2019-04-17 13:07:53 +0000 UTC]

That would actually make kind of sense. From how it was partially burried I had assumed it was moved from somewhere to crash into the ground here. But the "house" landing on it might have a similar result, particularly if there was some sort of repulsor or-what-ever stirring up the dirt under it.

Anyway, that "housewife" seemed distubingly adept at assimilating into earthling culture (and resistant to sedatives). We might be in trouble.

Very clever those ET's. Β Β
On a more serious note, I've often wondered about how ET's with advanced technology could be so easily found out.

Not to be picky, but Edwards Air Force Base is located in California, and everyone knows that all the UFO's are kept hidden in area 51 which is located in Nevada. Β  Β Β

I'm just going to pull a quote from Stargate for this. Area 51 is the face, to hide all the OTHER shit they're doing elsewhere. So for all we know, they are doing shit at Edwards AFB. XD

The UFO crashes in New Mexico and they haul it all the way to California? Doesn't sound like good security. Β Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Azarathian-Mage In reply to fred1009 [2019-04-17 12:41:53 +0000 UTC]

*shrugs* It's the Men in Black. For all we know, they have a way to teleport it using re-purposed alien tech. XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

fred1009 In reply to Azarathian-Mage [2019-04-17 17:22:26 +0000 UTC]

I realize it could be seen as a parody. But then their re-purposed alien tech should have shown them that it was not an actual UFO. They wouldn't need to wash it to know what was underneath the dirt.
It's appears we are standing on the edge of a analytical rabbit hole. LOL Β
