Yaaaay. Rockstar made a fun game!After the utter shite that was GTA4, I thought they'd forgotten that games were meant to entartain rather than frustrate.

They really needed to assign it to the d-pad. Surely they could have moved the whistle and map zoom out to the thumbstick clicks, (I don't think there's anything on them at the moment).

Me too. I didn't care too much though because it wasn't my proper horse. For some reason my horse changed to some random spotty one during one of the Sheriff what's his name missions. Damn it! I want my horse back.

I make no excuses. I am Texan, and love the cowboy Mythos. So Far, this and Gun (as cheesy as it was) are the only two games to satiate my hunger for gunslingin.

Haven't played this yet, might not play it for a while.
The best part about GTA4 was driving as fast as you could, then hopping out of the car into oncoming traffic and watching your head splatter off the bumper of another car, only to see your player pick himself right back up.

HA! I've always loved your reviews, but I think I can relate to this one the most, especially the weapon-selection system. I can't count the number of times those hooker-setup bandit traps have killed me because I whipped out my lasso instead of my Luger

Games like this always take forever for me to beat; I spend too much time buggering around doing treasure hunts and minigames, ignoring the main story until the very last. But maybe that's just me. RDR was, by far and away, the best new game to show it's face in a very long time.

Great to see another GTA4 hater. I was so upset at the praise the game got. Red Dead Redemption is just so much more interesting and I'd totally buy "Red Dead Redemption Episodes" lol I just want more awesome wandering, missions, and for them to add in liars dice into multiplayer!

Yeah; the weapon select wheel is a bit unintuitive. It would have been nicer if they'd simplify it to the Directional Pad:
Up: Pistols
Down: Rifles
Left: Lasso
Right: McGuffins
And having to stop running on horseback to aim got annoying. But still, I'm having lots of fun with it.
