Finally got around to beating it. In some cases, I think people add the step "Feel worse with every giant monster you kill".

I love the one about the horse, especially on the way to the final colossus and you cannot tell if that is a huge cliff or just a bit of rocky landscape, luckly Agro knew and prevented us falling to our death. Or you could launch yourself off him like I did.

God, I haven't thought of this game for years. When you meet the first huge monster thing, wasn't it a rock lion or something? It's like holy shit...

You need to turn off your brain for most of the game to enjoy it. Most of it just kinda dangles you over a pit of pointless bullshit and expects you to like it just because it looks somewhat pretty.
Don't get me wrong, I like this game, but it's not a well done game in terms of incentive or plot writing, and I'm a plot man. People with their graphics worship and need for extra functions can shove it.

this game. all i can say is gamer rage and then the bliss of saying i tore the "godzilla teddy bear thingy" to ash and then find out that was the FIRST boss!

you forgot killing lizards and eating their tails to increase stamina! (7) is the best. you never outrun them but the compulsion to try is irresistible!

You know I never found out about that whole "shoot-the-lizards-for-extra-grip" until after I'd beaten the game...
oh well, I had a friend who beat FF7 without Knights of the Round because he didn't feel like going to find it.

That game was amazing and it didn't even make you fight hordes of enemys. Just one at a time and it worked out perfectly. Exploring the world was fun enough, but climbing these god like monsters and striking them down was just a shock and awe experience.
