I guess I'm just twisted, but I'd like to see this played out in all it's horrible glory. Almost all babies look like mutant chuds when born anyway so no telling what it will look like when the fluff and feathers come in. Both of them having to deal with a mutant baby and each other would really be an opportunity for both character to grow and develop in interesting ways. Also I think Hillary would look very cute pregnant and it would be funny as heck watching Kat plan an egg shower?

Could be worse. The cockatrice or basilisk looked sort of like a lizard/rooster hybrid. Its egg was laid by a rooster (not a hen, but a rooster; this was important) and incubated and hatched in a dung heap by a toad. This "King of Reptiles" was toxic, of course. Sometimes, its venom turned people to stone. Other times, their gaze did it. Or their breath. In some cases, all a basilisk had to do was chomp one end of a would-be monster hunter's weapon and the venom would be somehow transmitted through the weapon and kill the wielder. Only the mongoose, because it slugged down the super secret herb known as rue like Popeye tanks up on spinach, was immune from the basilisk's toxicity.
Of course, just because thinks could be worse doesn't mean they're a horror now.
