At 40 - 45 degrees C, even the koalas need a cold drink.  If you live in the desert, or a coastal area, you can open your house up at night and turn on the fans.  In the morning, close up the house and it will stay cool until 1430 to 1500.

It is hot there, but extremely low humidity; humidity is the killer.
