I notice that in many drawings no background. Do you use them only when necessary.
I do not think it's bad because the background sometimes is unnecessary.
When I look at a drawing like this my focus is directed to the character, in this case the always wonderful Chloe.
I do not know why I mentioned it, perhaps by the desire to say something beyond a simple, "Cool!"
Anyway, one more successful work in your portfolio.

If I have a scene in mind, I add a background. These types of image are just pin-ups. The focus is the character.

And this idea of ββ"pin-up" is very good, and after talking with a friend I've been thinking about my own character, Deborah.
Perhaps more interesting is that she is a pin up, so I could use her in many different situations and with a greater amount of supporting characters.
Then I think of a story and elaborate on their characters.
