i noticed something similar. before you fight photoshop flowey, he says the line "humans, monsters, everyone". and on the genocidde route, undyne says the same thing.

Two guys, connected by the fact they both know about the resets....they both know about the player as a force outside of the game....connected by their existential horror. Two men who are the first last and only line of defense between their people and an alien horror which can spare them one second, slay them down to the last child the next, and then go away to write weird fanfiction about them.
I'm surprised there isn't more stuff about their friendship (cause they sure sound like they'd have a special bond).
