Description My take on a young elf girl. I kept removing and adding the horns, and finally decided they should stay

This was based on a wonderful stock photo by and can be found on her deviantART account

I used the the Elf Name Generator at elf.namegeneratorfun.com to get the name 'Morneth', which means Darkness/Night (mor), Teenage Girl (neth). Names are based on the Sindarin language created by J.R.R. Tolkien for his elven race.

The colours for this one will be up at some stage, I have a lot to catch up on at the moment though!

Oooh - this is another very fun one here. Really love what you did with her hair, it's got a very natural look to it, nothing too wig-like or "perfect" - much of which is a nice tribute to the reference. Β She's got a very cute expression too, like she's appraising something...

The line strength seems very fitting around the image, adds to shape and form and not out of place anywhere I can see. The semi-profile came out looking wonderful... Another very fun piece, for sure.

Thanks aidenke!

Yeah, I loved Olga's hair in the original photo so only changed it near the bottom so it would hang down rather than sweep over her shoulders as in the photo. I also tried to keep the mouth and eyes looking expressive and slightly seductive. I played around with losing the horns and the earring, but decided they should stay as they lend a little character to the piece.

I think I'll probably try something a little more cartoonish next though, after these portraits I'm itching to do something with simple lines!

I'd say you made some very positive decisions overall, transferring from the full-body in the reference to making something that works really well as a bust in your interpretation! Here's looking forward to what's next!
