Description Bighorn National Forest: Shell Falls

In the Bighorn National Forest area of northern Wyoming, midway to Yellowstone, is Shell Canyon. Shell Falls is a spectacular waterfall that flows down Shell Canyon out of the forest and into a scrub desert.

I wanted to write a critique, but...

As the river falls
The water follows
Down the cascading flows
Tasting the rocks
That have stood
Since the earth moved
Making a way for a trickle
To one day dream
Of becoming a great river
Raging to bring life
In the surronding nature

Low ISO, and if you have it, a Neutral Density filter for an even longer exposure (I wish I'd had one then, would have improved the shot.)

I have quite a few. I was sending notes to a couple other friends here on DA. I think I might start a journal with little photography tips. Give me a , and I'll try to start it soon.

Sure thing. I gave you some comments I hope will be helpful. I also started a new journal series called Photography Fundamentals. If you watch me, I hope to post new ones every few days and cover things like exposure, depth of field, the histogram, and all the other useful theory behind photography that hopefully will help you take better photos.
