Not to put a witty response to this, but Marilyn was a size 14, and look how she ended up. I'm not saying everyone will end up that way, its where your mind was at, and maybe under all the glamor, Marilyn's heart was throbbing just as the average teenager would be.

True, but a 1950s size 14 is way smaller than a modern 14. It'd be more like a 6/8 or so.
But she still had curves and flaunted them like a pro! To me, the most beautiful women have softer shapes.

The message is a great one. As a hefty girl I must agree. Size doesn't matter you're as beautiful as a girl wearing size 0 even if you're a size 32. It's not just body that matters, it's what's inside too.

Once upon a time, a woman having curves....having hips and tummies....was very attractive. I don't know why society suddenly finds skinny minis so beautiful. I can respect a woman's body type. I am not a small woman myself. I have those hips that some people turn their nose up at. I like to see a full woman with confidence in herself. This is a great, inspiring quote & a sharp photo, but I must argue & say that quote's been proven false, because her hips were 35 inches around, so you'd imagine a size 14 would be too big. She also got plastic surgery on her face. Not that I don't agree that she was beautiful. I also think women in all shapes & sizes are beautiful & that they are plenty of "normal-sized" or bigger people who are lovely & have great features. Equally, women who are so skinny that their ribs protrude are sickly & malnourished.
