Here is my own take on my 'Fireman Sam' meme. Warning: there will be some opinions that you may disagree.

Favourite Character: Fireman Sam - What can I say? This character is brave and loyal to his fellow residents of Pontypandy. He is also firm but fair and if someone has done something wrong, Sam is always ready to give them a warning so as to prevent it from happening again (it's a pity that a certain someone never learns his lesson as you'll soon find out).
Despised Character: Derek Price - In my opinion, Derek seems to have the least amount of originality in the show as he is basically a palette swap of Norman (minus the glasses). Also his so-called "I'm the most perfect kid in Pontypandy" is a blatant lie - we know he is just as bad as Norman (only tens time more arrogant).
Favourite Series: Series 1-4 - They often say that the classic series is always the best and since I grew with the original series, it warrants a place as my favourite series of Fireman Sam due to nostalgia purposes.
Despised Series: None - To be honest, I don't think they're really any bad series of Fireman Sam (however, there is one bad episode as I'll get to in a bit). It's probably debatable where the CGI series is concerned but if kids (the primary target audience) like them, then something must be working. You could argue the 2003 series is better CGI but is it worth saying the current series is bad just because of different animation or different settings? As long as the same spirit they've strived for (i.e. a show that teaches kids the difference between right and wrong) is still there, that's all that matters.
Most Overrated Character: Norman Price (CGI Series) - Remember when I mentioned that there was a certain someone who never learns his lesson - I was, of course, referring to Norman. I mean, let's face it - Sam has better things to do than go around clearing up after Norman. It feels like most of the emergencies these days are a result of Norman's careless actions and his inability to learn his lesson.
Most Underrated Character: Ben Hooper - This character was introduced in Series 9 to be Pontypandy's permanent coastguard, which is a good idea seeing how Tom Thomas takes charge of Mountain Rescue. Besides, Sam and his team can't always deal with ocean-based rescues. We got a glimpse of Ben's personality in 'Whale Watch' where it was implied that he was a bit overconfident about the ocean. It'd be great to see him appear in more episodes in the future.
Favourite Episode: Bentley the Robot - This episode was really entertaining as a kid but there was also a high amount of suspense during the fire since Penny was in a life-or-death situation. Also, there is the fact Bentley was rewarded for his bravery in rescuing Penny (as were Sarah and James for helping to save the fire station) whilst Norman was punished for his prank. So, all in all, a very well-written episode.
Despised Episode: Girls Night In - As I mentioned previously, I don't have a problem with the CGI Series but this episode is just...awful. Mrs. Chen kept blaming Mandy for Lily's bad behaviour (apart from the keys) and she didn't even apologise after that. Yes, she thanked Mandy for saving Lily but thanking someone doesn't always mean an apology. Also, the tiddlywinks side-story was just...pointless. It was only there for filler. I'm sorry but this is probably the worst episode of 'Fireman Sam' I've ever seen.
Favourite Song: The Hero Next Door - If you're going to make a show about a firefighter, you need to have a good theme song so this song serves its purpose. It's just catchy and tells you so much about Sam and his heroic persona. Maldwyn Pope did a great job in both English and Welsh (the remade version for the current series is alright but the original will always be the best).
Despised Song: Gently Bentley (from 'Fireman Sam in Action') - This song was just...meh. But then, 'Fireman Sam in Action' on whole was not good as I'll explain in a bit.
Favourite Special: Heroes of the Storm - Talk about an epic special whereby a storm threatens Pontypandy and the firefighters (including new recruits Arnold McKinley and Ellie Phillips) must work to rescue all the town's residents. And if you think a hurricane striking a village in Wales is unrealistic, well, take a look at this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_St….
Despised Special: Fireman Sam in Action - Okay, here's why I don't like this special. The writing for these three extended episodes was just flat, the cutaways with Sam and the children was unnecessary and the songs were just hit-and-mess. So, overall, this special was just a complete mess.
