Description
The image is based on a previously posted sketch from the eighties of the last century, and it reveals the technical aspects of the panel. When not in use, the panel is stowed in a compartment in the deck to prevent damage to the control panel. The lowermost images on the left show the panel in the stowed configuration. The panel controls can be used while it is laying down, or deployed and the deployment is merely an option so that people coming back and forth aren't forced to stoop to use those controls. Also, with the support rods, they can be adjusted to virtually any angle, so that persons of differing heights can use the controls comfortably. The images to the right next to the human figure (scale) show the panel in its upright configuration - with the images above it showing what the panel looks like from the top-down in those configurations. One shows the handle flipped open so the panel can be hauled up and into place. Another shows the panel stowed with the handle stowed as well, while the image on the far right shows the well the panel and support drop into when its not in use. All of this artwork, and much more will eventually make up the content of the Outland Industries Arcos MK I Technical Manual.
