Description
More colour added. I'm leaving it here for a while I think whilst I consider how to do the 'magic' effects. I'm torn between doing like it's shown here - very stylised, or going for more of a realistic swirly glowy lights effect. At present I'm leaning towards the stylised, but need to think about it. Opinions very welcome!EDIT: Expanded on the stylised magic effect.

I'm really digging the line work on this. I'd suggest maybe sticking to flat colors or cell style shading to play off the stylized lines. Also if you set the image to greyscale you'll notice the values between the hair, shirt and background are very close and you lose a chance to make the silhouette really pop by making all those elements that close in value. Also be really aware of your light source, as is the arm with the bracelet is pulled under and if you were to go by the lighting suggested by the bangs, then the arm would be much more in the shadow. Really looking forward to seeing the end product either way.

Thanks. The colours were chosed to be tonally close - I didn't really want her to pop out of the background, but rather the warmth of the red there to help with her skin tone.

I hope so! I also hope that the stars & moons add a touch of whimsy to the pic, but I think I may have to leave it alone for a day or two to see if I like it.

Don't know what to suggest, but at the first sight the around the eye magic effect looked like a tattoo to me
