Another illustration for our ongoing #dnd campaign! The Wand of Resurection which Neal borrowed from a mysterious benefactor to save Betheniel's life shattered after use, leaving The Best Available with a tremendous debt to pay. The quest to repay it had them temporarily leave the Undermountain festival and took them far from Waterdeep, to Icewind Dale, to defend Targos from a Duergar attack and a terrifying Chardalyn Dragon.

Here we see Hadari, our ranger, about to face-tank the monstrous dragon construct...

Moments after this, Angela fought her way to the city's champion futher to the right, who was about to be overwhelmed and fall to the Duergar onslaught, and healed him with a quick Lay on Hands thus letting the champion shine and save his city. The hero, now out of bloodied state and with his powers back, wiped blood off his grin and taunted the remaining Duergar: "Oh I think you know how this is going to go." Meanwhile, Angela rushed back to assist the rest of the party...

Ultimately, the attack was repelled, and even the town's notoriously hardy inhabitants went out of their way to express their gratitude.

But more importantly - a mysterious hooded figure invited them, Neal especially, into a hidden portal, where a very special, long awaited personal reward was bestowed upon him... He came face to face with his Silver Dragon parents, and could finally regain his true form.
