I'm now preparing a free ebook based on my lectures, and will distribute it for free. How can I use this picture as the cover of the book? Danke

JonDae In reply to Nukov [2013-01-02 09:59:58 +0000 UTC]

Hi Nukov,
sry to say, but you can't use this picture for your ebook, because it is part of a corporate (Compasses-App for Windows Phone 7).
But you can use other pictures from me, for example the Surface Phone or some Nokia concepts.

Best regards from germany, Jonas

This gives me a sense of the so called "metal-liquid" that the next iphone is going to be made of. Who knows you probably guessed their design!

Thank you very much! But it's just Nokia inspired. So not really my own design. ^^

Looks awesome - could you publish it to other markets (like US?). Thanks...

JonDae In reply to alenaski [2012-01-25 12:17:33 +0000 UTC]

Hi alenaski. It's already available worldwide. My fault, posting only the german link. [link]
Btw after releasing 'Compasses' we received some heavy critics (in the US), cause there was a bug on some devices - didn't save settings - it should be fixed.
Is there something wrong or you need support, you can contact us via deviantart, mail etc.

Regards

Nice, clean looking app. Extremely nice cell phones too, I had to read through the comments to confirm they were 3d, they looked so real! Is there going to be any functionality to round the values for longditude and latitude to 2-3 decimal places? Six decimal places is rather specific, possibly beyond usefully so.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JonDae In reply to intermittent-pixel [2011-11-16 11:43:30 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for your feedback. At the moment there are no plans to change the values. But I think it's a very good idea! I will take a note at this. Maybe we (Palladium Power) can still include it in the release or submit it in an update.

Cheers, Thx again

the coolest concept phone ever... planned to buy N9, but it suddenly looks so dated... i do have a few friends at Nokia R&D (i live in Finland), i am sending them a link to this page immediately - not that they would be directly in a position to affect anything like this, but simply hoping it goes "viral" and eventually reaches the right people who could use the design ("use" as in "purchase", not "steal")...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JonDae In reply to the-vj [2011-10-17 19:39:54 +0000 UTC]

Great that you like it!
Actually, the concept was conceived as a dummy for my app. But I like the look and feel of Nokia phones. I am easily persuaded, because I actually still studying product design, a side effect. ^^
Thank you for the feedback and viral-support!

Cheers

I'm glad you like it! Well I just created a simple lookin' device for showing my compass-app. I can't help doing it designing cellphones. My weakness.

Thanks! I am definitely influenced by Nokia. I love the new design-language.
Yes the app called "compasses". We're working really hard on it. It will be available at the end of october (with ten different styles + nightmodes, map-functionality, speedometer). It's all done with XNA. No Silverlight

Cheers

I'm the same way. (: Studying product design at Pasadena Art Center in CA because of Nokia. They're definitely a huge inspiration.

Looking forward to the app man, the market could definitely use some apps designed professionally.
