Description I was invited to assist in the creation of the visual elements for the play: Mars: (a play about mining). The play was beautifully art directed by Kristy Caldwell, who in collaboration with Clay Rodery and myself created the look of the characters and world, the actors, dancers and musicians skillfully portrayed.

Clay and Kristy make great work you should check out their respective feeds:

hm, reminds me of a book from the Alien universe. the story is a pretty standart one - a rescue team goes to save some scientists from a xenomorph-infested planet. the air there is breathable, but in the first chapters the main character is wearing a spacesuit. the planet is described as having these huge glass-like red pillars protruding from the ground that leave the impression of being in a forest of crimson shadows and rosy highlights, with reflections and refractions everywhere... i'll put myself to drawing that landscape some day when i have a biiit more time. but until then, your beautiful picture is going to my desktop wallpaper folder, as by coincidence it is very close to what i have in mind for the illustration.
i hope you don't mind the lengthy comment... cause it's kind of offtopic, too.
