Description Two points of inspiration, Luke Pearsons amazing limited colour Nobrow poster: [link]

and the limited colours you get from the old Beano and Dandy annuals.

This is just a sketch I was playing around with, might use it for another remorseful alien astronaut painting.

Cool and creepy, it reminds me of those old-school space comics

Awesome. whenever I see a dead astronaut I think of Doctor Who, but that is a good thing.

haha thanks, I forget the aliens exact name is Doctor Who, and I don't watch it that often, but as soon as I saw an advert for that episode I thought 'DEAD ASTRONAUT TOYS!'
I waited until they released it and it was still hard to get at release, but I can now say that I am the proud owner of a dead astronaut toy.
It kicks so much ass.

They're called Vashta Nerada? Something like that. I had no idea that there were toys of the dead astronauts, I'm going to have check it out! You should check out the episode, its creepy and awesome.

This is awesome, and I love the way that sky is drawn especially! Yeah, Luke's Nobrow poster looks pretty rad too.

superawesome. also great to share your inspiration sources, always interesting.
Luke's poster is again badass, but so is this piece. I love your simple linework so much man. deceivingly easy and works so damn well
just as good as your paintwork. especially the sky here is awesome

Beano is a fantastic source for colours ( they are great here ). I have a copy at home of the first printed Beano issue ( reprint of course ) and it's one of my gems

Haha, cheers.
I think it shows that I love old school manga. I love their linework. Especially on stuff like Hideshi Hino comics or Junji Ito.
