And here's a recent villian to pop up in the happenstance universe: Tamashiihime (Spirit Princess)

Long story short - several hundred years ago she was a lesser goddess over a village well. The village itself eventually turned to a ghost town, and she became corrupted by jealousy and turned into a form of yokai. She was imprisoned by some monks, but has more recently been freed (by some naive punk kids). Taking a more cautious/reserved approach, she's continuing her streak of jealousy/malice ... particularly in more urban areas. Among other abilities, she's primarily able to conjure and control lesser yokai (foxfire, tsukumogami, animals, etc).
