Description
short sum - the one in the middle was a proud s.o.b. that got under the skin of someone with power. She was cursed, as a result, to physically deal with her pride. ... the other 6 girls are physical alternate versions of herself, manifesting different attributes of her pride (... she was REALLY prideful).Still gotta work this a little more to diferentiate the bodies slightly (though they're all still going to retain that absurd unreal aesthetic). But that's the basics.
in depth ...
borrowed from a few places (more religious places than psychological), but here's the different aspects (in order left to right)
- self righteous piety (believing you're better than those who are weaker than you)
- power lust (believing you are better than those superior to you)
- brash arrogance (believing you are better than your peers)
- egocentricity (general me-first greed ... hence her being the host)
- jealousy (believing your inferiority makes you better than superiors)
- Vanity (false belief that vices are virtues)
- Bravado (false pride in things you didn't actually achieve)
still got a few things to figure out (elemental properties to each, what do they call themselves since they're really all the same person, etc), but yay.
whatcha think?

And if the seven combine, (theoritically) they form the unbearable epitome of pride.

which is basically what the host was - just a completely unbearable person. lol
her power is literally her curse (as in, she was cursed by it so she could see how a jerk she was)

Say, does this journal post you made:
The nature of pride (aka be humble)TRIGGER WARNING = I don't care.
Primarily this is me clearing up a misconception that I run into now and then = a lot of people think you have to be rich to be prideful.
...
Of course, when I say it like that it sounds stupid ... which is a common rhetoric tactic to ridicule the self righteous as well as to get your attention.
Here's a blunt example: person gets on a high horse and talks about their evil employers getting away with earning so much money.
this is where you say "but they's evil!" By saying that, it creates an unsaid conditional statement that it's impossible to get rich without doing unethical things. (which obviously isn't the case, that's just stupid) It also creates a secondary resultant clause of "I don't have money, nor do I seek after improving my lot in life by obtaining more wealth, therefore I am not evil."
Simply put = pride is a state of mind that you are better than other people. This happens independent of personal finances, and
Have anything to do with The Pride girl group pic?

yes and no.
IIRC - I had already done this research into the nature of pride at this point. 'Cause I'd always known it was far more complex than "pride is when you're a rich bastard looking down on people" like petty little lib arts flunkies want to believe.
So I want to say it's hindi? but anyways, found that model where it listed out the 7 types of pride. Kinda bounced onto the notion of some miserable little shit of a woman who was so vain that it manifested in this way. (the pride being a small dumb play on words because pride of lions)
...
Then some asshole I was tentatively exploring contract options with (hadn't even started) threw that evil fatcat capitalist card on me.
So yeah, figured I'd post that journal at that point explaining this nature of pride.

1. Isn't the seven types of pride Buddhist?
2. I'm certain that the seven prideful girls are full of themselves, I'm surprised the weight didn't go down to their bodies.
Get the pun-related joke?

it's been a few years since I researched it, kinda forgot by now mostly since the core concept just made sense and is kinda internalized. Hence, not sure where it came from.

I thought it was going to be something about lions before I read the description.
So did she split into 7 beings, or does she shapeshift into the different forms based on the kind of pride she is feeling?

Unfortunately it's a MAGIC thing, which means it's more along the lines of a feel for what's going on instead of hard rules. lol
but yeah, she's her and stays her. The others come and go and interfere as their proud little selves see fit (sorta like JoJo Stands or Persona summons)
