Basically, just reduced the fingers to three and gave them claws. It's at least considerate that the franchise doesn't depict them in a negative light (that would belong to the Egg Stealers).

Yep, Oviraptor generally was rather small. People are often confusing it with it's bigger relative Citipati. The situation is basically similar ( but not identital ) to the one of Velociraptor and Deinonychus. The smaller one, with "Raptor" in its' name, gets mixed up with the bigger one. Even the sizes match, with the "Raptors" both being 2 m long, while their relatives are both 3 m long.
