Now THIS is the Mickey model sheet that I am the most proudest of -- not those other three. >__>This one was done long after a period where I'd finished my work on Sonic the Hedgehog and I think there is a vast imporvement to be had between this one and... whatever the hell this is (along with its other two unlinked brethren).
Seriously, this Mouse has a design that I'm quite proud of, and while I feel like it needs a little more tweaking in spots, I think its just expressive enough that my style comes through AND he stays on model. I tried for a mix of Cavazzano and modern Gottfredson and hopefully that came through.

It's really impressive that you stayed true to your style while not taking away from what makes Mickey, well... Mickey at all. He still has that happy go lucky, almost child-like sense of wonder in him, but you really bring out the mischief in his expressions.
I really like the "Aw shucks" Mickey in the middle, the one kicking the little rock. Haha you rarely get to see him in that state anymore.

Oh damn, you really brought out a lot of character in the old mouse! I'm really how you brought in the light manga influences and cartoony expression from the Sonic drawings here without losing the basic design of the classic Mickey. Have you ever done the old black and white version Disney brought back?
