The elongated skull is a nice subtle touch. You could imagine it sprouting a host of tentacles from the face of the living being.

I like and appreciate both answers, thanks~ and yes, I agree that the memento mori does add depth for him, that cannibal, haha. Although looking at the skulls it looks like he does more than just eat people, haha(then again don't most of us do the later?)
