Description
I did this at school, practising color & light.Photoshop CS2 and wacom tablet, about 12 hours.
I used three layers for this one. One for a quick sketch (15min), one for base colors(45min), and one for painting and details(11h), but since I used a "painty" approach and painted over the first two layers, I could just as well have used one layer
Next, I think I'm going to do an oil painting on canvas.

when I first saw this I thought the girl was looking at someone and saying/thinking "who told you?" Simply amazing. All that work really really did pay off.

Thank you! From the beginning, my plan was to not put too much effort into the hair, but as it turned out I wanted a hairy feeling and ended up drawing every single hair strand(Is that the right word?)...

Thank you. That means a lot to me It's my first time painting from photo refference 100% freehand. I usualy draw the lineart directly over the photo. And it turned out better and was a lot more fun than it would have been if I had copied something from the original.
I forgot to mention, in the discription, that I mixed the colors myself. I didn't "steal" them with the "color sample tool-thingy"
