I actually like the presence of the people in the background as i feel they add a good counter balance to the overall image. The main subject almost looks nervous and cowed and doesnt seem to relish entering the darkness whereas by contrast the people entering the light area of the frame have a more upbeat gait. We all look for something different in an image i suppose, which cant be a bad thing

If you start cloning around... it's not street
I can see why you would want the background people gone, but your compositional prowess is in evidence here and you still managed a shot many would give their right arm for
It's luverly!

I know you don`t like it you fussy minx
I`m not averse to the odd clone/crop if it`s really needed but like you,I`m not a big fan of selective colouring either, rarely works.
Thank you Liz m`lovely

I cloned a stray elbow out of a street shot, I couldn't crop it out because it would have killed the balance. My hubby was pestering me to upload it to dA, I can't call it a street shot because I cheated I would smack you silly if you cloned this!
I crop stray body parts, though once in a while a person wandering in where you want a clear space works out. With a place like this... I'd be a bit obsessive and keep going back till I got the shot I was looking for

You silly bugger, what`s an elbow between street buds...of course you can call it a street shot
It does indeed work out great when you least expect though, you can`t beat Street for the unexpected

It is awesome, the only thing I wouldΒ΄ve changed is the aspect ratio, in my opnion it would look very nice on 16:9, but, each photographer has itΒ΄s own eye. ItΒ΄s collected, great job man.

Thank you my friend,I absolutely love 16:9 and 16:10 and only recently started playing with it,sometimes it translates well, other times the distortion goes a bit awry...actually never tried it with this one though,I`ll give it a go anyway, curious now

for sure its nice to be curious, after all what would we, as mankind, be if nobody hasnΒ΄t being curious? Keep "curiousing" and there will be much more of these excellent works you share here.
peace

Aye,it can be comical at times "No,no,no,no worries,I wasn`t shooting you and it won`t and up on the Internet...trust me..."
The good thing about using a wide angle to shoot street is people don`t realise they are in your shot often too
